RoHS and WEEE are European Union's (EU) directives for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and for restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). Among other things, these directives restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment shipped into the EU effective July 1, 2006.
Orient-chip Semiconductors'(OCS) lead-free products comply with the EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and the document 2005/618/EC.
OCS is committed to environment, health and safety excellence and meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements with respect to the use of hazardous substances. Numerous successful programs have been implemented to reduce the use of hazardous substances, chemicals and/or emissions.
OCS has taken care to ensure that Pb free components are solderable using Lead free PCB assembly process.(Notes: Follow JESD22B102-Solderability). OCS's integrated circuits which meet the regulatory thresholds for cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, mercury, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs).
All OCS Pb free products have passed SGS tests. |
