The group standard "Performance Test Method for Hall Effect Sensors for Automotive Applications," led by OCS Technology, has been officially released
Recently, the group standard "Performance Test Methods for Hall Effect Sensors for Automotive Applications," jointly developed by Shanghai OCS Technology Co., Ltd., the China Inspection and Testing Society, Nanjing Xinyue Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Suzhou Naxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd., and the Academy of Space and Aeronautical Information, Chinese Academy of Sciences, among other organizations, was approved and released by the China Inspection and Testing Society. This achievement holds significant importance, signifying that OCS Technology has taken a solid step forward in its standardization efforts within the automotive electronics sector.

With the rapid development of the automotive industry—particularly the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and intelligent driving technologies—the application of Hall effect sensors in automotive systems has become increasingly prevalent. As critical electronic components, the performance of Hall effect sensors directly impacts the safety and reliability of vehicles. Consequently, developing a comprehensive set of performance test methods for automotive Hall effect sensors that comply with industry standards has become particularly important.

As a supplier specializing in the design, development, and sales of Hall effect magnetic sensor chips for over two decades, OCS Technology leverages the strengths of its Hall effect magnetic sensor products to propel its full range of automotive-grade analog-digital hybrid chip products deeper into the pre-and post-installation markets of the automotive industry, thereby achieving comprehensive coverage across vehicle bodies and diverse in-vehicle application scenarios. As the first company to launch domestically produced automotive-grade Hall effect sensor chips, OCS Technology has actively embraced the automotive supply chain ecosystem since entering this sector. The company has established long-term and close partnerships with numerous automotive manufacturers and possesses extensive experience in product research, development, and validation. Hall effect sensor chips play a pivotal role in automotive motor modules, undertaking critical tasks such as signal detection and perception. In the current era of increasingly widespread intelligent connected vehicles, these chips not only bear the responsibility of intelligent state monitoring of vehicles but also serve as key technological enablers for ensuring driving safety and enhancing the driving experience. With the rapid advancement of intelligent driving and vehicle connectivity technologies, the application prospects of Hall effect sensors in vehicle bodies and in-vehicle systems are expanding significantly, injecting new vitality into the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry.

To establish a unified industry benchmark, the OCS Technology team collaborated with enterprises across the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, as well as scientific research institutions and testing agencies, to jointly develop the standard "Performance Test Methods for Hall Effect Sensors for Automotive Applications." Throughout the development process, OCS Technology consistently adhered to a market-driven approach, fully integrating its own expertise in the development and deployment of automotive products. From a holistic perspective of the industrial chain, the company carefully solicited feedback from industry experts within the drafting committee, refining the content into a reference standard that facilitates the appropriate selection of automotive Hall effect sensors, thereby fostering the healthy and rapid development of China's intelligent connected vehicle industry. This newly released group standard has undergone multiple stages, including project initiation review, expert feedback, drafting committee discussions and revisions, public consultation, experimental validation, drafting notes, expert committee review, and subsequent revision reviews. This standard establishes a comprehensive set of standards and procedures for performing performance testing and evaluation of Hall effect sensors used in automotive applications.

The release of this group standard not only marks a significant breakthrough in the field of automotive Hall-effect sensor technology, but also provides robust technical support and standardization guarantees for the healthy and rapid development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry. OCS will continue to uphold its core principles—focusing on sensor chip R&D, pursuing ultimate performance, and addressing customer needs—while collaborating with industry peers to jointly drive the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of China's automotive industry.
